In the Bosom of Pelister
If you are looking for a quite and calm weekend fulfilled with beautiful mountain landscapes,
the village Magarevo in the National Park "Pelister" is an ideal choice
A two-day tour (17-18 Nov. 2006; also 04-05 May 2007)
Day first:
08:00 AM, Departure from Skopje - 11:00 Arrival in the village Magarevo
The village Magarevo is half way from the
city of Bitola
and the
National Park "Pelister".
It is an excellent choice for those who enjoy recreation while being surrounded by the smell
of pine trees and fresh air.
We will walk to the peak of Pelister (2600m altitude) accompanied by a local guide and refreshing
ourselves from the numerous fountains on the way up. Irrespective of the populations ethnic
origin, this is an Ancient Macedonian alpine forest. Enjoy its splendour.
We will stay overnight in private houses in the village Magarevo. The accommodation is totally
adapted to the tourists' needs, without having lost the character of the traditional Macedonian culture.
There are many churches around the village which are opened for visitors; in the
villages Trnovo and Magarevo you can visit the churches St. George, St. Dimitrius
and
St. Holy Mother;
in the village Malovishta the church St. Petka, the monasteries
St. Ana and Holy Salvation as well as the monument from the Iilinden Uprising in
the region Palisnopje.

in the village where you can taste Macedonian food, but there is also a possibility for you to
order some Macedonian traditional dishes to be made by your hostess, although this is an optional
choice and it would be added to the price.
We are absolutely sure that you will be enjoying every moment during your stay there.
