Spend few days in the countryside and feel the communities’ daily life as it used to be in the past: serene, simple and tranquil. Just for a moment forget about the city noise, sky-high bills, taxes... Get up at dawn when the first cock crows and announces the new day. Discover and understand in an active and responsible way that conserves the environment and improves the well-being of local people. Get pleasure from walking around the countryside and exploring the interior of the old village houses, and as the sun sets down enjoy in the tasty organic village food accompanied with the sound of traditional Macedonian music. And if you are a quick learner you might even go home knowing how to dance the Macedonian folk dances.
Take part in the daily rituals typical for the Macedonian village in preparing traditional meals and baking bread. In every season of the year, the villages have their own rituals: in the summer time pick cherries, blueberries, tomatoes, peppers, melons; in the autumn prepare pickled vegetables (turshja), traditional ayvar and store the supplies for the long cold season; in the winter learn how to make wine and rakiya; and in the spring when everything is budding, sow the seeds and prune the vines on the Day of St. Trifun day.
