Wine and Love - Wine tasting tour
Visit the Tikvesh region and learn more about St. Trifun – the protector of vine and wine makers, about the history of viticulture, autochthon varieties of grape, and the process of vine making in the oldest and richest Wine region of Macedonia. This geographical position, fertile soil and climatic conditions are extremely favourable for grape cultivation and formation of intense flavours in specific grape varieties that give the Tikvesh wines unique and exquisite flavour.

The museum of Kavadarci is a complex museum consisted of a gallery, historical, archaeological, ethnological and a department for Protection of Cultural Monuments. The pride of the museum is the ethnological department in which you can get a true insight into Macedonian past, and especially of the long wine tradition.
12:30 Wine tasting at Tikvesh Vinery
The Tikvesh wine region recognized as the most important quality vine growing region in Macedonia is home of Tikves Winery located over an area of 100.000 m². The winery is known for its exquisite wine that reflect over 120 years old culture that celebrates the entire wine experience, from growth, to harvest to fermentation to the most significant part: enjoyment with family and friends.

The visit to the vine cellar will be followed by vine tasting and lunch; you’ll taste 5 varieties of wine, of the biggest vinery in Macedonia. The cellar has its own restaurant with wonderful chef, thus the performed wine tasting in this cellar is a special treat.
